WHAT IS DEMAND
The demand for commercial, or paid, sex is the driving force behind the criminal business of sex trafficking. Basic economics dictates that demand for a product is fundamental for market survival. Without this demand, there would be no market for sex trafficking to survive. In the market of sex trafficking, there are sellers (traffickers), consumers (johns), and products (victims). This demand is a substantial contributing factor to human trafficking, and we firmly believe that addressing it is essential to combatting the problem.

HOW DO WE ELIMINATE SEX TRAFFICKING
SEAP recognizes that prevention efforts must extend beyond law enforcement and victim services to target the root causes of trafficking, by addressing the demand for exploitative behaviors. Our program offers a unique approach focused on mental health and accountability, empowering individuals to break the cycle of harmful behavior and contribute to a safer, more compassionate society. By addressing the underlying factors that drive individuals to engage in exploitative behavior, we can effectively reduce the demand for sex trafficking victims.

WHAT IS OUR APPROACH
Unlike traditional education-based programs, SEAP utilizes a heavy mental health focus rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy. Our curriculum is designed by licensed psychologists and therapists who specialize in treating individuals with a history of sexually exploitative behavior. Through weekly group sessions and monthly individual therapy sessions, participants engage in a journey of self-discovery, accountability, and personal transformation.
